Director

Ted Shupe, owner and director of The Utah Talent Showdown has this to say:

“While teaching my children music, I found that providing opportunities for them to get on stage was a great motivator. Over the last 30 years I have had the great privilege and opportunity of working with many incredibly talented kids. My own Tara, Daron, Ryan Shupe, along with Matt Flinner, Danny Bates, Ryan Tilby, Roger Archibald and Robby Ricks have all been State and National Band and Instrument Champions. Today Ryan Shupe and his Rubberband, signed with Capital Records, Matt Flinner was nominated for a Grammy on his first solo CD release and Danny Bates is playing fiddle, mandolin and guitar with country artist Mark Wells. All these kids got their start playing on stage in instrument contests. It was fun and exciting for the kids, gave them a reason to practice and turned them into monster musicians.”

Now Ted is offering that same opportunity to all talented people in the area through his Utah Talent Showdown which is designed to motivate talented people of all ages and abilities in all areas of the performing arts through competition, rewards and by giving them an opportunity to perform on stage.
